Project Context
We built Sneaker Authentication as a modern mobile app to help buyers and collectors confirm the authenticity of Nike sneakers. We understand that replica (KW) shoes are becoming increasingly similar to genuine products, which makes many people hesitant when buying. With this app, users simply pick a sneaker photo from their gallery, and an AI-based model analyzes it and displays an Original or KW prediction along with its sigmoid value. The app also provides reference images of KW and Original sneakers for comparison. With the concept "Scan. Verify. Authentic.", checking a shoe's authenticity becomes easier and more reassuring.
The Challenge
The rise of replica (KW) sneakers that look nearly identical to genuine products makes it hard for buyers to tell them apart, while manual checking requires specialized expertise and takes time.
Our Engineered Solution
Our Solution We built Sneaker Authentication as a mobile app that verifies Nike sneaker authenticity by scanning a photo from the gallery. An AI model analyzes the image and shows an Original or KW prediction with its sigmoid value, and the app includes KW and Original reference lists for comparison.
